Freya

Freya is a very special girl. Found as a stray with a badly broken leg and horrible eye infection, she came to Cameron Animal Hospital weak, scared, and injured. Despite everything, she was always sweet and gentle, and that has never changed. Following an amputation and months of treatment and physical therapy, this wonderful girl is ready to find her forever home.

Freya had her hind leg amputated, but that hasn’t slowed her down for a second. She can run, play, and jump, and loves exploring new places and playing with people. Freya is less convinced about other cats, and although she will tolerate calm older cats who will ignore her, she would be perfectly happy as a single cat. Freya is very talkative and doesn’t hesitate to let you know what she wants – company, playing, and petting are her favorite; being held and carrier are not. Food and treats when she asks are appreciated; being told to wait will have her yelling at you. Freya isn’t a big fan of dogs or very young children, but is fine with older children.

Freya is approximately 2.5 years old, and is healthy. She does not have any side effects from the amputation, and her only remanant of the upper respiratory infection is a minor scar on her cornea. Her adoption includes her FeLV/FIV test (negative); feline bartonella testing; her full series of 3 FVRCP (distemper) and Rabies vaccines; spay; microchip.
