Plum is small, delicate, beautiful, and very, very opinionated! She likes being pet and held. She does not like other animals. She likes human attention. She does not like having her teeth brushed. And her list of likes and dislikes continues on and on. Plum was rescued from a puppy mill, but has settled into life as a pampered pet well, and she is ready for her forever home.
Plum is approximately 3 years old, and is friendly and affectionate with people. She is generally healthy, but does have dental disease. She will receive a complete dentistry prior to her adoption, but her adoptive family must be prepared to provide dental care in the future, therefore we are looking for adopters with an extensive veterinary history. Plum’s adoption also includes her full series of DHLPPi (distemper), Bordetella, and Rabies vaccies; heartworm and tick-bourne disease testing; spay; microchip; and 30 days of free pet insurance.
Plum is good with people, but does not like other animals, and must be an only pet. Plum can live in an apartment; she does not need a yard. However, because she dislikes other animals, she is not a candidate for doggy day care, therefore she needs a family whose work schedule does not take them away for 10-12 hours per day. Because of her small size, Plum is not a good fit for families with young children, but older children who are calm (~8 and older) and teenagers are fine. Plum loves to be held and to sit on your lap, and she will make a great couch cuddle buddy. More than anything, she likes human attention.
